Book Fair
Registration Open to September 1
We welcome journals, presses, programs and literary businesses to the Fall Literary Festival bookfair, where thousands of dollars' worth of books are sold and writers meet editors and program directors.
To encourage participants to visit you, we give them cards to be stamped at each table; fully stamped cards are entered into a drawing of books donated by presenters and small presses.
We invite small press editors to participate in two panels that we will host during the conference: in one, editors and authors they have published will discuss the dynamic of publishing with a small press. In the other, editors will speak to writers on finding the right press for manuscript submission. Small press editors are also invited to an editors' caucus during the conference. (There is no need to submit a proposal to participate in these panels.)
To promote book sales, we recommend that presses encourage their authors to submit proposals, as well.
