Readings & Discussions

Lit Youngstown hosts readings in venues throughout the city, as well as the monthly First Wednesday Readers Series (started in 2015). Readings give us a chance to showcase a variety of contemporary work by published local and regional writers. In addition, the open mic after the reading provides a space for local writers to read their work aloud and be heard.

 

In 2020 we hosted the New Book News series, featuring books released during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The readings were livestreamed and are archived on our YouTube channel. 

 

The monthly Food for Thought book discussion is enjoyed by reading enthusiasts and feature a variety of styles of contemporary work.
