Welcome New Board Members

Lit Youngstown is pleased to welcome two new members to its Board of Directors: Sean Posey and Bill Soldan. Both are experienced writers with a passion for literature and a deep commitment to Youngstown. We look forward to creating great things together.


Sean T. Posey is a freelance writer, photographer and historian. He holds a bachelor’s degree in photojournalism from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and a master’s degree in history from Youngstown State University. His work has been featured in a wide variety of publications, including the San Francisco Chronicle, CityLab and San Francisco Magazine. Sean’s work is featured in the books Car Bombs to Cookie Tables:


The Youngstown Anthology and The Pittsburgh Anthology, both by Belt Publishing. His first book, Lost Youngstown, was released this April. He is currently working on election year coverage with Bill Moyers.


William R. Soldan received his BA in English Literature from Youngstown State University, where he was formerly the head fiction-editor of the student-run online literary magazine Jenny. He currently studies fiction and poetry in the Northeast Ohio MFA program and teaches English Composition at YSU. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in a number of publications such as The Fictioneer, Floyd County Moonshine, New World Writing, The Vignette Review, Thuglit, Elm Leaves Journal and others. He lives in Youngstown, Ohio, with his wife and son.
