This writing workshop is a safe space for individuals experiencing chronic illness to build community and express themselves through writing. No prior experience is required.
This six week workshop will meet in-person Tuesday evenings at 6pm (Oct. 6, 13, 20, 27 and Nov. 3, and 10) at LOOP Arts & Culture Center (805 Mahoning Avenue). Workshop leader Eliza Osborn is a writer and editor whose work spans non-fiction, fiction, and poetry. She has published across multiple genres, often while multitasking symptoms, parenting, work, and the general demands of life. She helps writers develop adaptable, creative practices that honor their personal capacity. Beyond writing, she enjoys watercolor painting, mixed-media arts, spending time with her husband, daughter, and their rescue dogs and participating in local community projects.
