All the Way from Erie

We welcome Greg Brown and Cee Williams to our July First Wednesday reading, July 6 @ 7:00, Suzie’s Dogs & Drafts, 34 N. Phelps St.


Greg Brown is an Oklahoma native who has lived ten winters in Erie, Pennsylvania with his wife, Christina, and their two sons. He is an avid backpacker and kayaker as well as poet. His poetry recently appeared in the Pea River Journal and his poem “Wine” is forthcoming in 2 Bridges Review. Greg teaches for Mercyhurst University in Erie and is the managing editor of Poets’ Hall Press.

Cee Williams is the author of Bus Riders in the Storm, My America -9 Poems for Sister Lucille, and 12 Poems (all published by Crisis Chronicles Press)Williams was a recipient of a 2014 Chautauqua Writers Grant and founder of Poets’ Hall and Poets’ Hall Press. He is an avid fisherman and his vegetable garden was recognized as “Best Vegetable Garden” by the Bayfront East Side Task Force’s 2014 Neighborhood Beautification Awards Committee. His poetry has been showcased in Bathtub Gin, Traveling Poet, Nostrovia Poetry, Walking is Still Honest Press, and in The Voices of Erie County Anthology.

This will be a great reading, with an open mic emceed by Allison Davis. Hope you can make it!
