November 4, 2015: Philip Metres, poetry John Carroll University English Professor Phil Metres reads from his book Sand Opera.

December 3, 2015: Jeanne Bryner, Karen Kotrba & Sherri Saines, poetry Three women poets with Appalachian roots will read their poems.

January 6, 2016: Bill Lawson presents Michael McGovern, poetry/Youngstown history The Executive Director of the Mahoning Valley Historical Society talks about the “Puddler Poet,” a famous Youngstown steelworker.


February 3, 2016: Philip Brady, poetry & Lynn Lurie, fiction, CROW contributors YSU English Professor and Etruscan Press director Phil Brady will read from his new book, To Banquet with the Ethiopians. Lynn Lurie will read from her new book Quick Kills, published by Etruscan Press. Readings will be followed by YSU students featured in the newest issue of CROW (Compose: a Review of Writing).

March 2, 2016: Chris Jennings & students, journalism TEDx speaker and Canfield English teacher and students talk about using journalism to understand community. Special guest David Giffels.

April 6, 2016: Adam Hughes & Barbara Sabol, poetry April is National Poetry Month, and we welcome two Ohio poets.

May 4, 2016: John Borroughs, Dianne Borsenick & Matthew Minicucci, poetry John & Dianne are Cleveland poets with an energetic, working class aesthetic. Matthew is a Wick Poetry Center (Kent State Press) book winner.

June 1, 2016: Mary Biddinger & Mary Quade, poetry University of Akron poet Mary Biddinger reads from her new book, Small Enterprise; Hiram College poet Mary Quade reads from her new book, Local Extinctions.

July 6, 2016: Greg Brown & Cee Williams, poetry Two poets from Erie travel to the Yo to share their good words.

August 3, 2016: Randi Pappa, fiction Randi Pappa takes on difficult themes in her novel, Under the Rock.

September 7, 2016: Jamie Marich, non-fiction Dr. Marich speaks on her book, Dancing Mindfulness, about using creative movement to focus the mind.

Monday October 3, 2016: Christopher Barzak, fiction YSU English professor reads from his newest book of speculative fiction.

November 2, 2016: James DeMonte & Tobin Terry, fiction & poetry Graduates of the Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts read their work.

December 7, 2016: Cathy Seckman, non-fiction Writer Cathy Seckman reads from her historical book, East Liverpool.
