Youngstown, Ohio, has left an indelible impression on many writers who have called Youngstown home. This annual series will feature those in our proud literary legacy, and will help raise funds to keep the literary fires burning in Youngstown.

Sarah K. Stephens is a developmental psychologist and Teaching Professor at Penn State University. A graduate of YSU ('03, B.A. Psychology), Sarah is the author of six psychological thrillers, including It Was Always You and The Killing Kind. When she's not writing or teaching, she volunteers as a firefighter with ALPHA Fire Company.

 

Christopher Barzak is the author of One for Sorrow, The Love We Share Without Knowing, Wonders of the Invisible World, The Gone Away Place, Before and Afterlives, and Monstrous Alterations. He has received the Stonewall Honor from the American Library Association, the Shirley Jackson Award, and was selected for the Human Rights Campaign book list for LGBTQ welcoming libraries. He teaches creative writing at Youngstown State University.

Rose Marry graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from the NEOMFA program specializing in fiction. Her fiction, nonfiction, and poetry have appeared in several anthologies and literary magazines, including Straylight Magazine, Anomaly, and Laurel Review
