Thank You for Cheering Us On!

We are wrapping up our 10th anniversary and our hearts are full and sticky as a jar of fig jam. The Andrews Avenue Memory Mural, a collaborative celebration of Youngstown, was just added to the Ohio Mural Map! We had a wonderful time with you at the Fall Literary Festival and you're going to love the pictures. We'll post them soon.

And our new year is bright! We hope to see you at Just Desserts: a Lit Winter Evening, Flash Nonfiction Writing Intensives, Youngstown Writers Guild, First Wednesday Readers Series, Food for Thought book club or Winter Writing Camp. Our Outreach program planning is underway, which will allow us to bring the healing impact of small group writing deeper into our community.

We couldn't do it without you, and we're asking for your support to help us stick the landing this fiscal year. With big thanks to a generous donor, your gift will be matched. And for each year's-end $10 donation, in appreciation for ten years of support, we will send you the note card (above) with the gorgeous poem "At Table" by Rebecca Moon Ruark. The poem, itself, is a hymn of thanks with tribute to Youngstown's own Ross Gay by Rebecca, a dear member of our lit community.

So, for example, if you make a $50 donation, we will send you five gift cards.

There are two ways to give:

• Support our work in the coming year by mailing a check payable to Lit Youngstown to Lit Youngstown / 323 Wick Ave. #6 / Youngstown 44503 or by clicking the electronic donor link for a credit card or PayPal. A donor will match your contribution.

• Fund our future: with thanks to co-founder Liz Hill, we now have an agency fund for Lit Youngstown at the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley. This fund will serve as an endowment, and the Foundation will match donations during the week of December 2-8.
