Let us thank you for supporting our end-of-year fundraiser with a set of these gorgeous poetry notecards designed by Lit Youngstown's new media coordinator Ashley Dillon.
The notecards feature original poems by 2023 Fall Literary Festival presenters Pam Anderson, Jason Irwin and Randi Ward.
Our goal for this fundraiser is $5000, critical support as we plan our new year. What are we looking forward to? The Winter Writing Camp February 24, a fun, intergenerational day of writing activities. The Fall Literary Festival October 17-19 featuring New Yorker columnist Hanif Abdurraqib, Youngstown native daughter poet Ama Codjoe and Chicago fiction writer Rachel Swearingen.
We are also planning workshops, in-person and online readings, a Black History Tour, a Youngstown Youth Poet contest, and many other projects and collaborations, as well as monthly book discussion, and writing and critique groups Writers Guild and Writers Circle.
Our goal this year is to grow our staff to support the tremendous program growth we have experienced since we began in 2015. We are so grateful to our community, those who see value in the literary arts. We literally, and literarily, couldn't do it without you.
