This writing workshop is designed for adults experiencing grief. Sessions will include group poetry readings, peer-led discussion, thought-provoking prompts, and the opportunity to share work. All poems selected for group readings are indirectly related to grief. The group will meet in-person Thursday evenings from 6-7:30pm April 2-May 14 with the exception of April 16. This workshop is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
Session leader, Alex Abruzzi, is a graduate of Youngstown State University with an M.A. in English with a focus on Education, as well as a B.A. in English with a minor in Business. He currently is working part time at YSU teaching introductory writing courses to freshmen. He is a long time resident of Girard, Ohio, and is looking forward immensely to running this workshop in his home library.
