This workshop will give participants an opportunity to learn about putting finishing touches on a chapbook manuscript, including formatting and other pre-submission tasks, as well as sending the chapbook out to publishers. The workshop leader will offer advice for avoiding common problems, and there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion. Mary has chapbook-specific editorial experience in multiple genres due to her work as a longtime reader for the Black Lawrence Press Black River Chapbook Competition, in addition to her editorial work for the University of Akron Press, and she looks forward to a lively, engaging conversation on how to get a chapbook manuscript ready for its next steps.
This workshop will meet Monday June 16 at 7pm via Zoom. The link will be sent to you the day of the workshop. Please register here by June 11. The workshop fee is $25. We will send you a signed copy of A Mollusk Without a Shell: Essays on Self-Care for Writers, co-edited with Julie Brooks Barbour for an additional $25.
