First Wednesday Reader Series presents poets Marion Boyer of Twinsburg, Ohio, & Steve Henn of Warsaw, Indiana. Open mic to follow. Wednesday, May 7 at 7:00pm at the Westside Bowl, 2617 Mahoning Ave. This reading will be downstairs in the Trophy Room, accessible only by stairs. Marion Boyer lives in Twinsburg. Among her 6 poetry collections, in 2023, two won competitions: Ice Hours won The Wheelbarrow Prize and Poets & Writers named it “New and Noteworthy.” What Word for This won Grayson Books chapbook prize. Boyer has participated in Lit Youngstown and teaches for Lit Cleveland.


Steve Henn wrote American Male, Guilty Prayer, and Indiana Noble Sad Man of the Year. He teaches high school English at a public school in northern Indiana.
