New Book News! We celebrate Kelly Bancroft, Nancy Krygowski and Heather Swan and their new poetry collections, published during lock-down. Join us on the Lit Youngstown YouTube channel for a live reading and conversation Sunday, December 6 at 7:00 PM EST.

Kelly Bancroft’s prose, poetry and plays have been produced and published widely. This is her first full-length collection. She lives in Youngstown, where she teaches at Hiram College and the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center. Two Dreams of the Afterlife (BlazeVox Books)

Nancy Krygowski is the author of The Woman in the Corner (University of Pittsburgh Press) which was named one of the top 100 (or so) books of poetry for 2020 by Library Journal. Her first book, Velocity, won the Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize from the University of Pittsburgh Press. The Woman in the Corner (University of PIttsburgh Press)

Heather Swan’s poetry has appeared in Poet Lore, The Hopper, Phoebe, Cold Mountain Review, Midwestern Gothic, and several anthologies. Her nonfiction has appeared in Aeon, The Learned Pig, Catapult, Minding Nature, Belt Magazine, ISLE, and Edge Effects.
